Recent Success story of CSE Students’ – “Clean Dhaka”

Clean Dhaka- a Team of UIU Robotics comprising students of Dept. of CSE, recently secured winning positions at two Business Idea Competitions (ENTREPRENEURSHIP 360 & Hult Prize Challenge UIU).

 

ENTREPRENEURSHIP 360:

FNF Bangladesh & Dnet Presented “ENTREPRENEURSHIP 360 (ROAD TO HACKATHON)” was organized by UIU Entrepreneur Development Forum – UIUEDF & UIU CCC. It was a two day (18 hours) Hackathon that ran from  28 October 2019 to 29 October 2019 (Monday-Tuesday). The goal of this Hackathon was to provide supplemental knowledge on social, psychological and cultural perspectives including business management and sustainability, for creating successful entrepreneurs by transforming their innovation into a successful business. Clean Dhaka secured the 1st Runner UP position at this Hackathon. Teams from both BBA & CSE participated in this event.

 

Hult Prize Challenge UIU: 

The Hult Prize was established by Bertil Hult and is an annual, year-long competition that crowd-sources ideas from MBA and college students after challenging them to solve a pressing social issue around topics such as food security, water access, energy, and education. UIU Junior Economists’ Forum, a wing of UIU Career Counseling Center, arranged the on-campus round of the world’s largest startup competition. The Mission of Hult Prize 2020 is to solve real-life problems and make revenue from it at the same time. 50+ teams participated in this competition and among them, 12 teams were selected for the semi-final round. Team Clean Dhaka from UIU Robotics made way for the Grand Finale by going through an analytical Idea Presentation procedure. The team became 2nd Runners Up out of the top 6 finalist teams by giving a final pitch in front of a Judge Panel consisting of renowned experts in both the Business and Tech industries of Bangladesh.
