2008-2010 M.Phil in Statistical Shape Analysis for the Human BackDepartment of Technology, University of Wolverhampton, United KingdomDissertation Description: The main focus of this study is the statistical shape analysis on human back due to spinal deformity (Scoliosis, Kyphosis and Lordosis). Procrustes analysis and Euclidean distance matrix analysis (EDMA) have been investigated. Procrustes analysis is used to distinguish deformed backs from normal backs. EDMA is used to locate the changes occurring on the back surface due to spinal deformity. Assessment, visualization and monitoring of back deformity patients were conducted for deeper understanding of surface changes due to spinal deformity.

Dissertation Description: This project focused on intelligent obstacle avoidance for AUVs. ARTMAP was used for learning of underwater-unstructured environment and Fuzzy BK-product approach was used to make decision for safely path to avoid collision with any obstacle towards the vehicle. A comparison between Fuzzy based path planning and A* search algorithm has been analyzed.

Responsibilities
Reading ability especially for blind and deaf children has long been acknowledged to be a critical factor in the educational progress. Learning of alphabet is a complex task regardless of the medium through which the skill is acquired. A low cost refreshable digital Braille display will be developed to read Bangla and English daisy Braille books including national text book from class 1 to 10.
